Whether in academic or corporate context, new concepts and trends are shaping research work: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Collaborative Working, Visual Data Analysis, etc. The amount and variety of information being generated is increasing exponentially, which opens infinite opportunities for researchers and analysts in general, but also requires the help of technology to collect, organize, process and extract meaning from all the data. Digital Tools, such as software packages, online applications, knowledge databases, social media and others present new possibilities and challenges for individuals and organizations.

This Day is intended to promote the sharing of experiences and discussion on the current state of Digital Tools applied to Research and provide participants with a view on innovative methods, techniques and solutions. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity to network and build new contacts.

The programme of Digital Tools Day will include Demo Sessions, with the duration of 1h30m (1h20m presentation + 10min Q&A). These sessions will be dedicated to presenting and discussing  innovative methods, techniques, solutions, research outcomes related to digital tools in any knowledge area, field of research or industry sector.
